The glamorous Sonam Kapoor is an Indian actress who appears in Bollywood film and she is belongs to prominent Kapoor family. She was born on 9 June 1985 in the suburb of Chembur, Mumbai, to Anil Kapoor veteran Bollywood actor and her mother Sunita is a former model and designer. Big name like Sridevi popular Bollywood actress is her aunt and uncle Boney Kapoor (Anil’s elder brother) a film producer and actor Sanjay Kapoor. Sonam’s cousin are actors Mohit Marwah and actor Arjun Kapoor. She had done her schooling from Arya Vidya Mandir, Mumbai and completed her graduation in economics and political science through correspondence from University of Mumbai.
Sonam began filmy career by assisting the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali on his 2005 drama film Black, gradually she showed her in acting later Bhansali approached her to cast in his movie Saawariya opposite Ranbir Kapoor. For this film she worked out a lot and lose 35 kg weight in two years. And the film released in 2007 and the film not well at box-office. However she got nominated for Filmfare award for best female debut and received Stardust Award for future superstar. In 2009 she worked with veteran actress of her time and Abhishek Bachchan in the film Delhi-6 in 2009 directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and her role was admired by public.
